Jeanne d’Alcy

Jeanne d’Alcy, stage name of Charlotte Lucie Marie Adèle Stephanie Adrienne Faës, was the first French film actress in the history of cinema. She was the muse and wife of the French film pioneer Georges Méliès from 1926 to his death in 1938.

She was portrayed by Helen McCrory in Martin Scorsese‘s 2011 film Hugo.
